Melanie Mfuh's mother sewed clothes for her and her sister as a child. Little did she know that this early exposure to the fashion world would spark her interest and significantly influence her life. Fast forward to 2014, when she found herself in search of an African print outfit for a special event. Surprisingly, the options were scarce. This gap in the market sparked the idea for Uzuri Closet—a platform to showcase African culture through fashion, a venture born out of necessity and passion.
